About Me

My name is Cory and I am a certified personal trainer. I have been trainer for over a year now and have been able to help change many of my clients lives and attitudes towards exercising. I have my bachelors degree in exercise science and just recently moved to Tennessee to go back to school for my masters degree in Kinesiology. I plan to bring my own training style here to Tennessee to help as many individuals as I can in any of their goals.

What to Expect

A typical training session I believe should be fun and beneficial. I'm always open to help educate each client with whatever questions they may have and if I don't know the answer, I will find it. WE will work together to motivate each other and work hard in each session. A client should walk away from each session feeling better about themselves and feeling like they've accomplished something.

My first client was one of my close child hood friends. He had become sedentary over the years and didn't really follow any fitness philosophy at all. I was able to pick his head enough to get him to come into the gym with me and go through a work out session. After the session he felt down on himself because he had fallen into such bad shape. However, I was able to motivate him enough to come in again and work out. Before I knew it I had developed a program for him as well as gone through some diet changes he could follow comfortably. Within three months my good friend had lost 35 lbs and was feeling better than he had in years. The best part is he was able to make his own routine a daily habit that stuck with him till this day. He now has a positive outlook towards the health and fitness industry.

I trained with Cory for about 3 months while he was in Connecticut and during that time, my results far exceeded my expectations! He is hands down, one of the most knowledgeable and genuinely personable trainers I have met. I was able to lose weight and gain muscle, but greater than that, he made me 'want' to train and fall in love with fitness and strength straining. I began to notice that I was becoming excited to return to world of fitness. When I started, I was coming in with a couple of pathologies and old injuries, but he was able to custom my workouts around those, while still being able to get incredible sessions that resulted in a positive transformation.

Cory is the best!! My mom and I first met Cory when he joined the trainer team at the gym we were going to. As soon as we started training with Cory, after one 1 hour session, we left there and said, "Wow. He's great! We need to stick with him!" Cory is extremely knowledgeable, motivating, and caring! He pushes his clients to reach their nutrition and training goals and always pushes you even when you think you don't have it in you anymore. He is consistently there for you, (even when you're not in the gym training) checking in to see how you're doing on your off days and making sure you're sticking to your plan and not losing sight of your goals. I worked with Cody in semi-private personal training for about 7 months and not once was I ever bored with my workouts which was a huge deal for me. He knows how/when to challenge you, when to suggest a modification, and genuinely enjoys what he does. I will forever have "get your five in!" ingrained in my head during a workout when I want to push myself. Strongly recommend!
