My name is Connie. I have been a certified personal trainer for 23 years. I have a great deal of experience in weight loss, strength training, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, and nutrition. I have a great passion for health and fitness. I have a great passion for helping people reach their health and fitness goals. I take the extra time to get to know my client personally. It is important for a trainer to know each person and understand why particular goals are important, I also do my best to help my client understand the components of fitness and understand that even though they may have a particular goal in mind they can not exclude any component of fitness in their workout plan. My prices are much more affordable than the average fitness facility. The average price for a one hour personal training session in a typical standard fitness facility is $70.00. There are many facilities that charge much more. I am qualified and have 23 years of experience. I am nationally certified by the American Council on Exercise and have been since 1996. I have been certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine since 2013. I am currently working on my corrective exercise specialist certification. I have many years of experience working with young mom's and for the past 3 years I have added senior fitness to my specialization. I primary work with women and men who want to lose weight, gain endurance, and add lean muscle. My 23 year's of experience have been with all fitness levels and all ages except for athletic competition and bodybuilding. I love my career as a fitness professional. This is why I have done it for over 2 decades. The thing I enjoy most about being a personal trainer is that I have the opportunity to help others make improvements in their lives and become healthier. I love to see people transform and watch them become so excited with the positive changes. This makes my job great! I love getting to know people and their families. I care for my clients. They are all very special to me. Helping others achieve their fitness goals helps me in so many ways. I would never do anything else. Being a personal trainer is something I will enjoy until I can't do it any longer. I hope to still be doing this when I am 75!

What to Expect

The first thing I do is meet with the client for one hour, sometimes a little longer, for an initial consultation where we discuss goals and I conduct a fitness assessment to determine the clients current level of fitness. This assessment also works as a baseline in tracking progress. We then decide which training package will be best and determine days of the week and times that work best. This is a free consultation. We set our first appointment for sometime within the next 2 days and we get started. I design a personalized workout and then come to the clients home or wherever we decide to train. I always travel to my client's location. Our session begins with a quick warm up and then right into the workout for the full one hour session. We meet again 2 to 3 days later and continue to meet every 2 or three days. Typical clients sign up for 2 or 3 one hour sessions per week. After 3 to 6 months many clients drop one day of training with me and do that day on their own, I help my client decide what their specific goals are because many times a person says they want to lose weight or gain muscle or get in shape. In order to be successful a person needs to be more specific and define in detail a measurable goal. This takes some time. I always allow more than just one hour for our initial free consultation. I also do a fitness assessment on each client where we do a squat and reach test that can show any weak areas and we measure several areas of the body such as the triceps/bicep, chest, waist, hips, and thighs. We do a body fat % measurement, a 3 minute step test, and a sit and reach test. With this we have a good base line to begin with and we can measure progress as we go. The workout is personally designed for the client. It is not a generic workout. I also give advice on eating habits and help determine the proper amount of protein, carbohydrates for the client. I am not a dietitian so I do not do personally designed meal planning. I also work with several companies that offer excellent supplements if this is something the client wants.. for example protein powder for protein shakes, or pre-workout energy drinks. I have found that some supplements can be helpful for some people. I always leave the decision up to the client. I will never tell a client that they must use supplements. I provide all the necessary equipment for the client and I come to their home. I use free weights, steps, stability balls, weighted balls, resistance bands, kettle bells, and more. I do a variety of different things so that the client will not get tired of the same thing.

Client Success Story

"I hired Connie as my personal trainer about 6 months ago because my friend was training with her and said she was a good trainer. I am so happy that I made the decision to hire Connie. I felt it was not something I could afford to do for very long but Connie met with me for a free consultation and fitness assessment and help me set my goals and then offered me a great discount because I am a school teacher. I left our consultation very excited. She personalized everything for me. She based my workout on my fitness level which made it much better than attempting to do anything like this on my own. We meet 2 times a week every week and she evaluates my progress every 4 weeks. We have been able to track my progress and it helps to see how far I come each 4 weeks. I have reduced body fat and lost weight and inches. My family and coworkers continue to comment on my positive results. The best part is my self esteem. I feel so good about myself now. I have more energy to deal with a class room of 21 2nd graders too. Connie is still my trainer and she has started a group training for 4 of us at school. She comes to us 2 times a week and we are all able to afford her services because we split the group price. I can also continue to have her as a trainer because of this. We all love Connie and think she is not only a great trainer but a very caring person. We all talk and have a good time during our session. Oh and she has great music! I definitely recommend her if you are looking for a trainer.......Michelle"
