I 'm a NASM CPT( National Academy of Sports Medicine ) certified personal trainer with experience in boxing , Krav Maga, and endurance racing. I'm also a certified NASM MMACS ( Mixed Martial Arts Certified Specialist instructor),NASM PES ( Performance Enhancement Specialist). Currently pursing my CES ( Corrective Exercise Specialist), through NASM in addition to a CPR instructors certification through the American Red Cross.I have successfully completed the several Tough Mudders and a Metro Dash and have started training for the heavy GORUCK challenge. I don't believe in pushing someone aggressively for the sake of profits, our bodies are designed to achieve the same things but in a de-conditioned state clients can become injured and lose interest . Seven years ago I worked with a young man whose de-conditioned state left him with little to no mobility. He never weight trained nor understood the importance of nutrition. He admitted he was never athletic or had motivation to get his self into shape, and often felt embarrassed going into gyms that featured in his own mind " perfectly toned" people. I got him to slowly start to move and as he gained more flexibility then progressed him to weights and eventually to a boxing workout. He lost 100 lbs off his 325 lb frame and has successfully kept the weight off. We often talked about conscious decisions when it came to eating and also the importance of being active.

I’ve been training with Clev for almost 2 years, doing a combination of boxing and weight lifting. I started working with Clev a little over a year ago, after moving to the region. I had some experience with mixed martial arts training training and was looking to get back into it, while also trimming down and building strength.
Typically sessions are 45 mixed of cardio, comprised of boxing or muay thai style workouts then 15-20 minutes of weight lifting/strength training. I truly look forward to our sessions and it's been the best investment in my health I could have made. Over the course of the year, I've lost weight and built strength as well as confidence.
Since the beginning I found Clev to be knowledgeable about the sport of mixed martial arts, as well as fitness training/coaching in general. In addition, he is constantly taking courses to add to his skills and provide a better coaching experience. When I came to him I had terrible back problems. He was always able to design the workouts to accommodate my abilities without risk of injury. After finally having surgery to fix the underlying problem, and taking time off to recover, Clev was able to work with me again as I healed to develop my strength and flexibility. He will absolutely push you every session, in a safe and supportive way to make constant gains you might not have thought you were capable of.

Coach Clev's fighting sports workout includes both intense cardio and total-body weight training. At the same time, I'm having fun and starting a foundation in boxing and MMA, which I intend to continue with. I would like to share my personal experience that I had while training with Cleveland. He walked me through everything that we were going to be doing. He asked me about my problem areas and suggested different types of workout that we could do that would help my problem areas. He helped push me to reach my goals and left me feeling confidant that I could push my self to great limits when it comes to working out. All in all I would say that he is the best at what he does and I felt really great with every workout.
Cleve is a very knowledgeable trainer. Flexible teaching and instruction style. Patient with trainees and always willing to show new techniques and methods. He made sure the sessions were accustomed to my own fitness levels giving me time to adapt but at the same time challenging enough to give a good workout. A lot of variety in the workouts, keeping things fresh. Willing to listen to trainees input and custom workouts accordingly. Each session varies according to my needs and how I was feeling on the day, a lot more flexible than most trainers I've worked with. I am still currently working with Cleve at the moment and well on my way to achieving my goals but I've noticed improvements in overall fitness levels. Again each session was different from the previous session so I enjoyed the variety. I would highly recommend Cleve as a trainer as he's very punctual to his sessions and goes out of his way to help his clients reach their respective goals. A very down to earth individual also.
