About Me

I am a lifelong equestrian with a passion for fitness. My love of horses and working out has led me to a career as a horseback riding instructor and personal trainer. I am also an editor for a health/wellness publisher and have combined my expertise in fitness and nutrition with my dream job of being outdoors and improving my life and those around me with a healthy lifestyle. I am a NASM certified personal trainer and a candidate to receive my Fitness Nutrition Specialist certification from NASM in the spring of 2015. I run 5Ks and completed my first Tufts Health Plan 10K for Women in the fall of 2014. Running is my stress relief and I'm at peace on the road. My philosophy for training is that it must be FUN for you to stick with it. I mix up my workouts and programs for my clients. Boredom leads to injury and lack of motivation. If you're having fun, you will keep going. Whether you are an equestrian who just wants to feel stronger in the saddle or someone interested in a unique outdoors-based fitness program, I have the plan for you!

What to Expect

I customize my training sessions to your lifestyle. I want you to look forward to working out. It should never be a chore of a duty to check off on your daily to-do list. My workouts combine outdoor activities with balance, strength and core work for a complete workout in an hour or less. If you are limited on space and/or time, I will find a plan that works for you and will keep you begging for more.

Client Success Story

My favorite client took himself off the couch and began working out after he saw his wife's mood (and body) improve after she began a fitness program. He started joining her in her daily runs and used a foam roller for the first time in his life. The more he exercised, the better his lifestyle became. Evenings became more about walking the dog than joining the guys for beers. His appetite shrank (as well as his waistline) and his sleep improved. He cut back on sugar without ever missing it. He saw the lines on his face soften and the relationship with his daughters improve. Friends asked him what he was doing because he had never looked better - or younger.
