Hi, my name is Christa. I am a NASM certified personal trainer and motivating others to live a fit lifestyle is my sincere passion. I like to take the time to discover what will make training enjoyable for each client as achieving and maintaining a fit lifestyle is not one size fits all. I strive to make sessions both fun and challenging and incorporate both body weight and weight training exercises in my sessions. I also strive keep things interesting and different to challenge clients from session to session.
What to Expect
A client can expect to use both their own body weight as well as weights throughout the session. I also incorporate bouts of high intensity cardio throughout and always take the time to cool down and stretch and address any concerns or challenges a client may be facing.
Client Success Story
My client Shana was diagnosed with a condition that was putting pressure on her brain and the doctors were looking into her having to get a spinal tap. The other alternative was that she needed to lose a significant amount of weight as the thought was that losing some weight could relieve some of the pressure and keep her from having to do the spinal tap.
Although Shana was never into any sort of athletics before, she opted (much to the doctor's surprise) to go the route of trying to lose weight through personal training. Not only has Shana successfully lost the weight, she discovered that she loves working out and how it makes her feel! In the almost year we've been working together, she has participated in races, hikes regularly, has tried out new fitness classes and consistently trains with me. Her strength has increased by leaps and bounds and I couldn't be happier for her!
The most exciting part of all of this is that at her last appointment at the doctor, she has become somewhat of a medical marvel because it appears the weight loss has worked and they don't need to see her for another year as they don't feel the need to move forward with the procedure at this point!
THIS is what constantly inspires me and reminds me of why I do what I do! I am so happy for her and I hope her story inspires someone to take control of their body and life and see what can happen!!
