I grew up in Southeastern Wisconsin in an active household. I ran cross country for two years in high school and swam for all four years. Swimming proved to be my biggest athletic success having won four state titles and wan an All-American 10 times. During my college years I swam 2 years and played college rugby for 2 years. I was the assistant strength and conditioning coach for UW-Whitewater for two years with the men's and women's swimming and diving teams. While also being a personal trainer outside of the university. I train all of my clients and athletes using the same hierarchy. I believe that nutrition should be at the foundation of all training programs. I believe quality sleep should be the next step in everyone’s fitness and wellness pyramid, when these first two components and only after these components have been addressed do we move forward to our next step which would be quality training.
