Growing up as an athlete, I've been very passionate about health and fitness. While pursuing engineering, I realized I wanted to connect with people instead of machines. I have been participating in sports since I was four and my love for sports and athletics lead me to pursue a career in Personal Training. One of my favorite things is seeing my clients conquer their goals, their growth in confidence, and the happiness that shines through them.

During a session, every client will experience a specialized workout made just for them. I will design a personalized, structured program for the client. The session will be energetic, motivating and fun.
One of my first clients had sciatica and was 76 years old. His doctor said he had no hope and wouldn’t be able to feel normal again. When we met he had a horrible mindset because of his negative doctor. I gave him hope and with the right exercises and consistency, my client started to feel no more pain in his lower back and leg.

I climbed Mount Everest this Spring, but I felt like I lost most of my strength during the expedition. A few weeks after I returned home, I just felt like I was in a slump. I wasn’t improving anymore. So I started personal training at the Equinox. I’ve been training with Carolyn for four weeks now. Not only is she a great trainer, but an awesome person too. She pushes me to do my best, but also makes sure that my form is perfect so that I work the right muscles and I don’t get injured. Most importantly, she makes training fun, and makes me want to show up. I had a goal of getting more definition, and she makes sure that I understand what muscles are being used in each exercise. I am already noticing more definition, and look forward to making even more progress.
Carolyn is an incredible trainer, and I feel lucky to have found her to help me with my fitness! Everything she has me do is leading toward achieving my fitness goals I told her to start. She pushes me when I need it, and guides me through new exercises I haven’t done before. She is also very responsive when we aren’t physically together, but I need fitness advice or have questions on the training routine set up for me. I’m very happy with my choice to work with her!
Carolyn is an amazing trainer!! I trained with her for 6 months until I unfortunately had to move. I with poor posture no experience, and Carolyn got me doing real barbell lifts and benches with weights I never thought I’d be able to do. She’s very observant and pointed out many adjustments, always making sure I had proper form. Training was really fun and something I could look forward to even after a long day of work. Carolyn is such a bright and cheerful person and I highly recommend her as a trainer.
Carolyn is the best coach I’ve ever had. I feel like I never make any progress when I went to the gym but working with her I finally see muscle and definition in my legs and back.

I used Carolyn when my trainer of many years went on maternity leave. She is a fantastic trainer and I’d still be using Carolyn except for my long standing relationship. She starts with care, gets to know your limits and issues, then designs a program that fits to avoid injuries while still pushing you to improve. She will not let you use improper form, which is the main reason to have a trainer in my opinion. I thought so highly that I referred my daughter who has had a great experience while home from college.
I would 100% recommended Carolyn for a trainer as she clearly demonstrated during our sessions her expertise in all areas. Whether you are only a beginner and looking to lose weight or want to work on strength and conditioning she is able to put together and work with you on a solid work out. Each session with Carolyn was fun as she has a great sense of humor, yet she knows how to keep it professional at the same time. She helped me work on my upper body strength.
