Carlos is a Master Personal Trainer with more than 25 years of experience, Physiologist and Health Consultant. His biggest passion is to help others improve their health and transform their bodies lowering their body fat by providing personal coaching and physical training.  

BIOGRAPHY

Carlos was born and raised in Puerto Rico. His passion for health, weight lifting and personal training started very young when he was only 16 years old. His first competition was when he was 17 years old in Body Building; he served also as model in local TV and participated in many fitness events such as Mr. Puerto Rico and Puerto Rico Hot Body. Since then, he has not stopped training and lifting weights becoming an example to others that health is important and with dedication and discipline you can achieve anything.  When he was 20, he decided to start helping others to improve their health, have a positive body transformation and achieve their goals by providing personal training services.

Carlos has more than 25 years of experience as personal trainer achieving drastic body transformations in his clients and coaching many athletes of Puerto Rico and United States. Different from others, Carlos not only has a physical trainer certification, he also has two master degrees Magna Cum Laude focused in health providing him with additional tools and knowledge that help to make his health consultations and physical training sessions be more effective. One of his masters is in Business Administration Health Care Management of the University of Phoenix and the second in Fitness Management of the Metropolitan University of San Juan, Puerto Rico. He also has a Bachelor in Arts of the Interamerican University of San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Carlos is also a Physical Education Teacher certified by the Department of Education in Puerto Rico. He has various certifications in sports, health and fitness such as: CPR Certified, certification of Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA), certification of the American Training International (ATI) in Puerto Rico, aerobics trainer, physical trainer and spinning instructor.

He collaborated and worked with different entities in Puerto Rico as Recreational Therapy Coordinator to include having a column named “En Forma” in the Primera Hora Newspaper of Puerto Rico, providing Health Consultations for the Department of Health of Puerto Rico, and he served as Supervisor of the Physical Fitness Center for the Department of Sports and Recreation of Puerto Rico.

He has participated in many radio stations providing health advises and physical training tips. He had his own program in the radio named "A tu Salud con Carlos Piña" transmitted locally in Puerto Rico via “Radio Redentor” 104.4 fm and he also had his own TV Show named “En forma con Carlos Piña” that was transmitted internationally via channel 846 of Dish Network and transmitted in the Hispanic and Latinos Program “HITN”.

Carlos also travels occasionally to Puerto Rico to conduct Health events in Schools, Colleges, Senior Homes and other communities in the island. He also attends to different schools to talk about “Infants Obesity”.

He is a member of the Olympic Home of Puerto Rico, Commonwealth Body Builders Confederation of Puerto Rico, Association of Catholic Schools of Sports and volunteer for the March of Dimes Organization.

Currently Carlos continues doing what he love the most and is providing physical training (via web/online around all USA and Puerto Rico and in-person in Maryland and District of Columbia where he is currently residing) having a positive impact in a lot of people helping them to have body transformations, lose weight, achieve their fitness goals, and most importantly to improve their overall health.

Carlos es un Entrenador Personal "Master" con mas de 25 años de experiencia, Fisiólogo y Consultor de Salud. Su gran pasion es ayudar a otros a mejorar su salud y transformar sus cuerpos bajando el nivel de grasa a traves del entrenamiento personal fisico y nutricion.

BIOGRAFIA:

Carlos fue nacido y criado en Puerto Rico. Su pasion por la salud, levantamiento de pesas y entrenamiento personal comenzo de muy joven a los 16 años de edad. Su primera competencia fue a los 17 años en “Body Building”, tambien fue modelo de television y participo en varios concursos enfocados en condicion fisica como “Mr. Puerto Rico” y “Puerto Rico Hot Body”. Desde ese entonces Carlos no ha dejado de entrenar y levantar pesas sirviendo como ejemplo de que el cuidado de la salud es indispensable y que con disciplina todo se puede lograr. Tan temprano como a los 20 años decidio ayudar a otros a mejorar su salud y lograr el cambio fisico que tanto desean ofreciendo servicios como entrenador personal.

Carlos posee mas de 25 años de experiencia como entrenador personal logrando tranformaciones fisicas drasticas y preparado grandes atletas de Puerto Rico y Estados Unidos. Carlos no solamente tiene una certificacion de entrenador personal, sino que tambien cuenta con dos maestrías Magna Cum Laude enfocadas en salud que le dan el conocimiento necesario para que sus servicios de consultoria fisica y entrenamiento personal sean mas efectivos. Una de sus maestrias es en Administración de Empresas y Gerencia de Servicios de Salud, de la Universidad de Phoenix y la segunda en Eficiencia Física Industrial y Salud Corporativa, de la Universidad Metropolitana en San Juan, Puerto Rico, convirtiéndolo está última ser parte del pequeño grupo de Fisiólogos de P.R. Ademas posee un Bachillerato en Artes de la Universidad Interamericana en San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Carlos tambien es Maestro de Educacion Fisica certificado del Departamento de Educación de Puerto Rico y posee varias certificaciones deportivas de nutrición, entre ellas: certificado en CPR, certificacion de Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA), certificacion de American Training International (ATI) de Puerto Rico, entrenador de aeróbicos internacional y pesas, entrenador en gimnasios e instructor de ciclismo.

Ha colaborado con diferentes entidades como Coordinador de Terapia Recreativa entre ellas la sección “En Forma” del periódico Primera Hora, Consultor de Eficiencia Física para el Departamento de Salud de Puerto Rico y Supervisor del Centro de Aptitud Física para el Departamento de Recreación y Deportes.

Tambien ha participado como invitado especial en varias estaciones de Radio proveyendo orientaciones y consultarias de salud a los radio escuchas; tenia su propio programa Radial "A tu Salud con Carlos Piña" transmitido localmente en Puerto Rico por Radio Redentor 104.4 fm y condujo su propio espacio de Televisión llamado “En forma con Carlos Piña” transmitido internacionalmente por el Canal 846 de Dish y por el program HITN.

Carlos tambien viaja ocasionalmente a Puerto Rico y realiza eventos y charlas en escuelas, universidades, centros de envejecientes y comunidades del país, recalcando la importancia de la actividad física en la salud y la orientación de la obesidad infantil.

Cabe destacar que ha sido miembro de la Casa Olímpica, miembro de la “Commonwealth Body Builders Confederation” de Puerto Rico, miembro de la Asociación de Escuelas Católicas Deportivas y voluntario en la Organización de “March of Dimes”. En febrero 2013, Carlos comenzó con la gran responsabilidad de ser el portavoz de la Fundación Libre de Géneros la cual tiene como enfoque y misión será servir a pacientes de Cáncer, HIV, envejecientes, acoso laboral y escolar.

Actualmente Carlos continua haciendo lo que mas le apasiona proveyendo entrenamiento personal (remoto via web/online a clientes en USA y Puerto Rico y tambien en persona en el area de Maryland y District of Columbia donde actualmente reside) impactando muchas personas de manera positiva logrando transformaciones fisicas, alcanzando las metas de peso deseadas y mejorando su salud.
