Brittany is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, as well as First Aid and CPR who currently trains out of The Grind Fitness and Sports Performance. Brittany is a graduate from Belleville East High School in Illinois. Brittany then went to play softball at Westminster College in Fulton Missouri for 3 years, being named captain all 3 years. She completed her undergraduate studies at Westminster College earning a bachelor’s degree of Arts in Exercise Science and Sports Management. Brittany earned her Master of Exercise Science with a concentration in Strength and Conditioning from Appalachian State University in May 2019. While at AppState, Brittany interned with the Appalachian State Olympic Strength and Conditioning department, mostly working with women’s volleyball, softball, men’s basketball, and women’s field hockey. Brittany also worked at Lees McRae College in Banner Elk, NC, as a volunteer strength and conditioning coach, working primarily with women’s soccer, women’s volleyball and women’s soccer.

What to Expect

You, as the client can expect a fun, enjoyable, yet challenging training session. There will always be a dynamic warm up at the beginning and a cool down/stretch at the end. The actually training session will depend on the goals of the client. It could range from compound barbell movements, such as squat bench and deadlift. Or it could be body weight exercises, with use of bands, dumbbells and kettle bells. All my session revolve around the goals of the client.

Client Success Story

I worked with an injured volleyball player, post knee surgery. When I started working with her, she could not do a body weight squat without discomfort. We continued to work on her range of motion, while continuing to load her lower body to get her legs stronger. 3 months in working with her, she was back box squatting and leg pressing with no discomfort. She was well on her way back to playing collegiate volleyball.
