Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists
To start off, you can expect some type of dynamic warm up, to get your blood moving. Throughout the session it will be based off what you as the client is wanting. If it is strength gain, that could include compound barbell movements such as deadlift, bench, squat. If the client isn't wanting that, we would use of the cable machine, dumbbells, kettle bells, bands, TRX, body weight. At the end of every session, there will be a cool down stretch. No one is a one size fits all. Every client is different and wants different things. This is what I focus on. Every session is meant to be enjoyable, yet still challenging.
I worked one on one with an injured volleyball player. She had knee surgery and I was training her post surgery. When we first started working she could barely do a body weight squat without discomfort. We worked for about 3 months and after those 3 months, she was leg pressing and barbell box squatting with no discomfort and was well on the road back to playing collegiate volleyball again!
