About Me

Hi, my name is Brent. I have been involved in fitness since a young age. I have been personal training for almost ten years. I get a special kind of joy from helping and encouraging people to acquire their fitness and life goals. I believe and have been told that I have knack for connecting with my clients and helping them stay motivated and psyched up. I believe this skill has improved a great deal because of my schooling. Currently. I am acquiring my graduate degree from Pepperdine in the field of Clinical Psychology, so I have a unique understanding of how to connect with my clients along with motivating them to accomplish their desired goal(s). With my history in the field of personal training, and my skill set from my background in psychology, I believe I am an ideal trainer for just about anyone.

I've been told that I am easy going, intelligent, easy to talk to, empathetic, honest, real, and dependable.

What to Expect

I believe the core is the foundation for all of our movement. I would initially start our session with some core activation and strengthening/stability exercises that will not only help achieve those abs but also help my client from any unnecessary injury in the future. We then would progress to something more intense and it really depends on what the current clients goals are. If its strength then we ideally go directly to the compound exercises. If its fat loss and muscle gain then we could do some circuit training. I always switch things up. I believe in progressions, so once a plateau is hit we will move onto something different and eventually make our way back to said exercise. which my client will likely break through from their previous plateau. Training should be focused on adaptation.

Ladies... I cannot stress enough to you that weight training will never make you masculine or make you less feminine. In fact, its how women become toned and its a great way to maintain bone health which is vital for women! The single reason that weight training will not make you grow massive guns is simply because you do not produce the same amount of hormones as males, so physiologically its impossible for you to become masculine, unless you already have a genetic predisposition for producing male hormones, but you very likely don't.

Client Success Story

My client that is in the third picture was able to achieve the final shot within 7 months time. She only worked out 3 times a week with me using weights (see how she's not masculine) and we would only train hard for about 40-50 min. On her off days she would do some light cardio and also do some sprints on other days. She was still able to eat carbs and did not do anything extreme in regards to her diet. At the end of the day its calories in vs calories out. Anyone who says other wise does not know what they are talking about because its science.
