Originally from a suburb of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, I spent most of my young life playing soccer competitively across the country. As I went off to college in Seattle, I decided to hang up the cleats in order to try something new. Group Fitness became my new passion! The energy and community of a group fitness class provided the canvas for me to explore my new career. After a year or so of teaching indoor cycle, as well as strength classes, I decided to pursue personal training. Personal training provided the long term commitment and individualized approach that I had been missing in Group Fitness. Over the course of the last four years, I have been learning, growing, and challenging myself to provide the best experience for my clients. With the help of some amazing mentors, I have finally found an approach that not only breeds success, but creates long-term motivation and confidence. While mentoring group fitness instructors is my full-time job, Health and Wellness Coaching is what I love to do and strive to continue. I am currently pursuing my Masters Degree in Sports and Exercise Science, with an emphasis in Health Coaching, at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. I hope to use my education to provide Health and Wellness Coaching full-time as a career.
