Hello, I recently moved to Austin, TX and am looking to put my fitness knowledge to great use! I have been training in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) for over 12 years and weight training for over 9 years. I enjoy working out in the gym, outside in the sun, and at a client's personal residence. I have a Bachelor's degree in business management and a personal trainer certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). I have all the necessary equipment needed to teach boxing, kickboxing, and Muay Thai lessons.

A client can expect a friendly, knowledgable, and effective training session. I'm very open to what the client's needs are and will adjust my training routine based on what the client wants out of the workout for the long and short term. Each client will be at a different level physically and mentally, adjusting to this difference is usually the difference between a client getting results, enjoying themselves, and wanting to continue working out.
Last year I started training a young man named Joe who had just graduated high school and was set to leave for college the following August. He had heard about me giving boxing and kickboxing lessons to a few people in the gym and approached me on the subject. He told me he struggles with confidence issues and is insecure about the way he looks. I could tell he wanted me to give him some lessons but didn't want to outright ask me. After I suggested we do some Muay Thai sessions he quickly became nervously excited. Joe said he wasn't too interested in Muay Thai but Boxing sounded like something he would try as long as it was just us two without anyone watching. He didn't have much money but was willing to ask his grandparents since they have always paid for his extracurricular activities growing up. I told Joe I would give him some boxing lessons for free on two conditions: 1) He do at least two sessions a week for two months and 2) He take a Muay Thai class with me at the end to see if he liked it. He agreed to these conditions and we started that day. He completed the two months, tried Muay Thai and loved it, then went off to college. I had saw a change in his demeanor through the summer but didn't think too much of it since he was getting more and more comfortable around me. Fast forward two months and I receive a text from Joe. He wanted to let me know he had to give a presentation in class and for the first time in his life he didn't want to vomit before walking up in front of people and actually had a slight hint of confidence. He attributed this to the boxing lessons giving him a sense of confidence he had never had and it translated to his presentation for school. He said he was still nervous but was able to meet it head on and deal with it differently. This story is a perfect example of someone not only excelling and learning physically but mentally too.

Very cool dude. Knows alot of knowledge about boxing. Looking forward to changing my life with this guy.
Arthur is a wonderful trainer. He is easy to talk to and listens to your questions and concerns well. He's laid back but will definitely challenge you to push yourself. He also gives constructive criticism to help you improve rather than make you feel bad. He's great! Definitely recommend.
Arthur is great! He is very knowledgeable and a great coach. I've only met with him twice but have learned something new each time and he is very willing to help me achieve my goals. Highly recommend and looking forward to future sessions.
