About Me

Andrew is a certified fitness professional and the founder and owner of Fitness by Andrew LLC Personal Trainer Group, in Scottsdale, AZ. For over 16 years, Andrew has devoted his life to educating people about the critical need to regularly engage in physical activity. He has a passion for working with a broad clientele across all ages and fitness levels, each with varying goals, helping them to attain their fitness goals, establish long-lasting healthy behaviors and improve their quality of life. With knowledge in the fields of bodybuilding, body sculpting, sports performance training and nutrition and motivational techniques, Andrew and his team of personal trainers develop comprehensive one-of-a-kind programs to help clients achieve results within weeks and provide them with the tools, knowledge, and experience to develop, continue and maintain their new healthy lifestyle. In addition, Andrew holds nationally accredited certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) – Golf Fitness Professional Level 2 which has afforded him the opportunity to work within a variety of environments from high school and collegiate athletic programs, physical therapy clinics, obesity clinics, and upscale fitness clubs to owning his own private personal training studio. Andrew has been active in weighting training, sports conditioning and physical fitness for the last 15 years. He grew up in Canby, OR and attended Canby High School where he was a two-sport athlete in football and track and field. Andrew went on to participate in collegiate athletics as a javelin thrower for the George Fox University Track and Field Team as well as participating in intramural sports such as basketball, racquetball and volleyball. Andrew has participated in four half marathons, numerous 5k and 10k race events, is an avid golfer and has a passion for sea kayaking, rock-climbing, hiking, cycling and working out.

What to Expect

He typically works out five to six days a week for one to two hours a day. Workouts generally consist of 20-40 minutes of aerobic activity, book ending approximately 30-60 minutes of weight training, followed by 10-20 minutes of stretching and myofascial release techniques. In addition, hobbies include worldwide travel and playing with his daughter. Andrew is proud to be able to provide those seeking a greater sense of wellness with programs to makeover their bodies and their thinking. He feels a great sense of accomplishment when he can use his knowledge and expertise to captivate, empower and inspire his clients to transform their lives on a daily basis, becoming their best and living a healthier, more joyful life.
