Hi there! I am a mother to two beautiful boys who keep my days both fun and crazy. They know how to push my buttons and melt my heart. I moved to Texas from Florida in 2003 to be with my boyfriend who soon became my husband. We are both from Florida and our families live their as well. As a family, we love to play in the backyard and look for cool bugs, we love camping, love taking walks, and dancing and singing to a good jam. I became a stay at home mom when my first son was born. I had been working in Student Affairs at a University. I started out teaching fitness for an amazing program called Stroller Strides. It allowed me to teach fitness with my little one, Jake, in the stroller, while getting social time with other moms. I taught for SS for 4 years and then decided it was time for a change once my second son, Brady, was born. I was ready to teach Body Back! A program for moms, without kiddos. We could all use a break, right?? I have been teaching Body Back since October 2011 and have loved every minute of it. There is nothing more rewarding in a profession, to be able to inspire, motivate, and challenge women to discover their strength and witness their transformation.

"You can go hard, or you can go home." Ever hear that song? If you have come to get a workout, you better give 100% and make the most of your time. I will encourage you to get out of your comfort zone, lift heavier, kick harder, and run faster if I think you can give more. I understand that women need to lift heavy in order to change their bodies and will encourage progression to keep challenging the body. I use interval training methods with both strength formats and cardio formats. I acknowlegde that nutrition is the most important factor in changing your body composition and without improving what goes into your body, your time in the gym is not going to have a significant impact on your body. I recognize that every "body" is different and does not always respond the same as another to the same nutrition or workout regimen. I believe it is important to set short term and long term goals and that they are "your goals" and your transformation is "your journey", not mine. I am your cheerleader and your trainer and will invest a lot of my heart into your success!

Dear Amber,
I want to tell you why I signed up for a 2nd BB session. You have encouraged me to push myself like no one else has ever done. I certainly am not an athlete, just a grandmother trying to live longer. You have helped me change my exercise, eating and drinking habits. I feel better than I did in my 40’s and 50’s. I know that I am not going to be able to do what you cute young things can do, but I am doing more that I ever thought I could do. Sometimes I get discouraged because my body just won’t keep up, but then I look back to that first class and see how far I have come. I could barely do 1 of those crunch things. There was just too much belly to get over. I really didn’t think I could do the sit-ups the other night. They weren’t pretty but I could do them.
My knees don’t hurt anymore. I have not had an arthritis flare-up since I started your class. Good things are happening to my body.
Thank you so much for your encouragement and guidance. You have made this such a successful experience.
Just wanted to drop a little note. Now that I'm about 5 pounds away from my goal weight, I started thinking about way back in April when I first started Body Back! It really gave me all of the great, clean eating habits that I have now, and the drive to work hard to get fit. I still tell everyone about it, and without an amazing trainer like you, I really doubt I'd be where I am today, which is HAPPY WITH MY BODY! You're awesome, Amber! :)
