Hi! My name is Amanda and I have been training purely for my personal fitness for around 7 years. I have been an athlete all of my life and have gained a lot of experience in strength and conditioning training. I'm genuinely passionate about helping others succeed in their fitness journey. It's about so much more than "looking good". It's about learning to be enduring, disciplined and committed to loving yourself and your body by pushing your limits and becoming the best version of yourself you can be in all areas of life. I will always start with a proper evaluation of the client and listen to the clients needs upon their initial session with me. I want to ensure that their program is individualized for their personal physical needs. I am strict on correct form as it relates to the client's specific body mechanics. The purpose of this will be to avoid injury and to ensure proper functioning of the body for years to come. I believe that physical and mental/emotional health are inextricably connected so I will always check in with the client about how they are feeling about their sessions and their bodies to ensure I am doing everything I can to optimize their experience. I aim to give my clients the tools to be able to do exercises on their own so that they are able to live healthy lifestyles without being dependent on fad diets or trendy workouts.
I worked with a client who had several health issues and needed to reduce her weight and change her diet almost completely. I helped her build a solid foundation for the new lifestyle she was wanting so that she would be able to maintain it long term. She is feeling happier with herself and feeling more energetic as she is slowly becoming healthier. I do not believe in rapid weight loss or rapid results. I believe in the slow and steady progress that comes with a a lifestyle change.
