I recently graduated from Rowan University with a degree in health and exercise science. I graduated with a focus in health promotion and fitness management. I have been a trainer since I was 18. I have worked with many different populations from special needs clients to seniors and everyone in between. I am very confident in helping people achieve their goals. I make sure that I keep my client's goals in mind while creating their specific program. I tell all my clients that "it's not about the number you see on the scale, but it's about the inches that you lose and the confidence you gain".
ACSM
The first session is an assessment to get a professional understanding of where the client is and what their strengths and weaknesses are. Then the regular sessions follow this pattern warm-up, a planned exercise program, a cool-down followed by stretching.
I have an older female client around age 70 and she came to me with the goals of getting stronger and seeing some muscle. I have worked wit her for a few months and she went from not being able to do a push up against the wall while standing to doing seven push-ups in a row on the ground . She also has started lifting with me and comes to each session pumped up and excited about what she is going to accomplish during that time.
