My name is Alex, an ACSM certified personal trainer looking to advance my career by helping others achieve their fitness and wellness goals. I have a bachelor's degree in exercise physiology as well as a master's degree in exercise science through Ohio University and Cleveland State University. I developed my passion for fitness through being a high school and college athlete in basketball and rugby. From there my focus turned to overall strength and endurance training. Today I run several distance races a year with my greatest accomplishment being a half marathon. I have experience training clients for over a year as a personal trainer as well as a group exercise instructor.
ACSM
A typical session will include an overview, a detailed warm up, an efficient and hard working training session and a proper cool down and stretch at the end.
I have had several clients see success in multiple areas such as weight loss and strength gain. I have also helped clients develop skills to improve their athletic performance and see results.

Awesome trainer! Really understands how the body works. Alex listen to you and then tailors your routine to achieve your goals. Great guy and very easy to get along with. I highly recommend him!
I have been working with Alex for the last 2 years. He is always punctual and prepared. Alex works with you to achieve your specific fitness goals in a fun , safe and effective manner. I highly recommend him.
I've had the opportunity to train with Alex for the past year. His easy-going personality allows him to motivate and challenge in a supportive environment. Extremely knowledgeable in identifying the source of injury along with devising a plan to remedy! Extremely professional and responsive!
A friend recommended Alex Mann as a trainer who could give me a home-based workout to meet my needs for low-impact, safe strength training. I have arthritis as well as limited bilateral shoulder range of motion. I told Alex I wanted two sessions, the first to assess my status and the second to perform his recommended exercises under his supervision so I could be sure of proper form. I brought in my set of bands and we also used weights and balance rods. Alex gave me exactly what I wanted. He is an excellent listener and observer. He is willing to work with you to give you exactly what you want, a feature I value because he is a certified professional trainer. He took the time I needed to assess and demonstrate a routine that suits my fitness goals. I recommend him without qualification. For those who want to do conventional onsite workouts with him, his facilities are extensive and offer cryotherapy options as well.
Alex Mann is an incredible trainer. He is thoughtful & creative with all my workouts so they are always different and I never get bored. He cares about my fitness goals and listens to my needs and wants. In the 2 years since I began training with Alex I have seen many positive outcomes- from my performance in other activities, my strength & endurance to my body composition and the way my clothing fits. He is not only knowledgeable about fitness, but also nutrition & recovery methods. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
The best trainer I have ever worked with!
I worked out with Alex in-person three times weekly(one-hour sessions) for one year, and I continue to work with him.
My sessions were the perfect blend of variety and challenge.
When I began, I had ideas about being too old, its going to be too much, etc. Alex was reassuring and we began working.
My original goals were balance, strength and flexibility. I can say with the utmost certainty, those were achieved.
I would recommend Alex without reservation! His extensive knowledge helped me to work around injuries, sore knees, stiff shoulders, etc.
Past trainers would just skip working with those areas. I found via my work with Alex, those areas can still be worked with careful adjustment.
One of the best things I did in 2018 was start a training program with Alex!
I have been training with Alex about a year now and his sessions are great! He is super friendly, welcoming, encouraging and eager to cater the workout for the individual. Since I have ligament related issues, Alex always comes up with a great modification that keeps me safe, while maximizing my workout experience. He keeps the mood fun, engaging and humorous while ensuring that I'm working out to my potential. Just when I think I don't have anything left, suddenly I hear a voice: "Come on, you can get in 2 good ones." And I do. A+!
Alex is the best trainer I have had. I tried three trainers prior to deciding to stick with Alex. When I began my fitness journey I weighed 198lbs and was extremely uncomfortable in my post ballerina body. Today I weigh 152lbs (in 1 year I lost 46lbs) and have renewed motivation to be the healthiest version of myself. I strongly believe had I not had Alex as a trainer I would not be in the shape I am today. I moved away from Cleveland but when I am in town for a weekend he always finds a way to fit me into his own schedule and make me sweat! You always feel like a priority and that made me want to work just as hard.
Alex is extremely professional, pushes you without being overly aggressive, is very knowledgeable in all aspects of personal training and encourages you throughout the week to meet the goals set (I.e not only during sessions but also during time spent doing workouts solo). He holds you accountable without being an ass. Which lets face it, a lot of trainers struggle with balancing the qualities needed to motivate. Alex is sensitive to the insecurities one may have but also helps change those into new strengths.
If you're lucky enough to work with Alex you will change not only in your appearance but the appreciation you have towards your body and what all it is capable of will also improve.
