I was born and raised in Moldova Republic and migrated to United States when I was 20 yeas old. I'm now a certified (14 certifications) personal trainer based on Upper East Side, NYC. I’ve been doing personal training full time since 2011 training hundreds of clients of all backgrounds and genders in NYC, Atlanta and Denver. I also coach personal trainers by doing seminars and workshops. My training methods emphasize progressive calisthenics. Accordingly, my program design is built on a principle of increasing strength and skill level that results in dramatic improvement in body composition when combined with proper nutrition. I've spent a significant amount of time on my education. I have attained 14 various personal training certifications and have attended dozens of advanced fitness workshops and seminars with some of the best strength coaches in the world. I'm constantly studying and reading about new advances in fitness to incorporate into my training methods. PRICES vary from $125 to $155 for 1-on-1 sessions depending on training frequency. What to Expect

Expect me to be on time, with your program already designed on my laptop and with my phone put far away. I'll motivate and guide you every minute of your session. I try to motivate my clients when they are struggling, but I don't ever yell at my clients. We'll be training with a laser focus on your goals until we reach them. It will be challenging, we will have fun with it and every session will make you feel great about your progress!

I let myself go and wanted to loose some weight and gain some muscle so I started working out with Alex. It was the best decision I could have made! I was really intimidated by the thought of not knowing how to work out, not knowing what to eat, and the prospect that I would not be very good at any of it. Alex was very patient with me in listening to why I wanted to start working out and the issues with self confidence I had about looking like a fool in the gym. After our initial workout to see if we would be a good fit, he came up with a plan on how to tackle my fears and laid it all out on how I can loose weight, integrate the correct nutrition into my diet, slowly get my body into gaining muscle from progressive body weight training, and to give me my self confidence back. He comes up with a plan before I arrive and shares it with me weekly so I can mentally prepare, he tracks my weight weekly to keep me on track, and he provides honest and compassionate feedback about my progress. He truly does care about my progress, and when we are training, I feel he is 100% dedicated to me during our time together. He is super easy to get ahold of and is very responsive when I have questions or issues. I have hit my target weight in 2 1/2 months and I have never felt better. I do plan on still working out with Alex as now that I have got the nutrition as a routine, I have lost my body fat, I am now ready to bulk up with some muscle for definition. I really like that we tackled small goals at first, it was much less intimidating then trying to do everything all at once, I think I would have failed if I did not have Alex's guidance and continuing education. He taught me so much that I can not think him enough for giving me a new perspective on life, it really was a total transformation, and it all started with the first call to Alex. I have been working out with Alex for over 6 months and feel he is an excellent trainer! Alex connects to identify goals and paths towards achieving them. Alex checks in about your progress each session as well as how you are feeling to ensure that the exercises for the day make sense for where you are. Alex accommodates your program to fit your abilities while also pushing you past them. I feel that his approach to exercise is about working with your body in an individualized way rather than trying to find a generic program that fits everyone. Highly recommend Alex as a trainer!

I've been working with Alex for the past 7 months and am extremely happy with my results. The small group session is perfect since it allows you to get just the right amount of attention - in between a 1-on-1 personal session and a large group exercise class. Alex meticulously designs each individual's program with their specific goals in mind and adjusts whenever needed. From the beginning I was impressed by his expertise (he will instruct you to make subtle changes in form that make the movement so much more efficient) and his knowledge of how to build muscle is evident.
Alex provides the right balance of compassion and empathy with making sure you are pushing yourself enough to reach your goals. Having tried other personal trainers and group classes, I can confidently say that Alex's program has worked better than any other for me.

Alex Ceban is a fantastic trainer. His training has helped me correct muscle imbalances and make my back/legs stronger to alleviate pain I feel from sitting at a desk or playing guitar all day. His training regiments are personalized and he does a great job listening to clients when something hurts, or doesn't feel right. I originally had planned to just do 1-on-1 training for a while but have continued with group sessions because he actually can pay enough attention to me that I feel they're very much worth the price.

My girlfriend is a Physical Therapist and wanted to go with me to a session to make sure Alex was teaching proper technique and wasn't doing any damage to my injured shoulder - she verified he's the real deal.

Alex’s training is different from others I have trained with, his training is something I feel I can do everyday, deceiving easily but very effective I feel like my body has changed and toned in a short one month, he doesn’t just stop at physical training, his advise on nutritional food, that fits into my daily life with ease was a bonus. Alex is an amazing trainer and I've had great results with him in a very short amount of time. He does an excellent job of increasing the intensity of my workouts at a pace that provides the perfect level of challenge. He constantly incorporates new exercises to keep my body and mind stimulated.
