Hi, my name is Alex. There are two things I am passionate about: teaching and fitness. Growing up, playing sports was a huge part of my life and I took this with me when I went to college to study Exercise Science. Since graduating in 2017, I have spent my time deciding what I want to specialize in, and I found my answer in the world of Strength & Conditioning. Learning how to get strong, lean, and live healthy has been the best experience in my life, and I want to share that with others.
ACSM
A typical training session includes a warm-up, weightlifting, cardio or conditioning, and a cool down focusing on flexibility. Depending on your goals and any limitations you have, the specific exercises we use and how we train them will vary. Ideally, we will train together 3 days per week, with time set aside to discuss best practices for recovering from your training with diet, sleep, and more.
One person that stands out is a man I worked with during my first few months as a trainer with 24 HR Fitness. We will call him JP. A retired Los Angeles police officer, JP came to me wanting to get strong and learn how to eat to support his training goal. For 6 months, JP never missed a session, lost upwards of 10 lbs. of fat, gained approximately 5 lbs. of muscle, and crushed his goals in the weight room. Most importantly, he took what he learned during our time together and is now able to train on his own, safely and effectively.
