Hi, my name is Ahmad. I began my fitness journey back in my freshman year of college as a way of relieving stress caused by a grueling engineering curriculum. After completing my first workout with a friend I noticed a huge difference in the way I felt. I was more relaxed, a bit more energetic, and felt better overall than before I started. After that one single workout I was hooked. As my journey continued throughout college I researched and read everything I could about fitness, and how movements helped to shape the body. My evolving interest even lead me to minor in Kinseology.
During my college years I was more focused on working out to help relieve stress, and not so much developing an extremely muscular physique, so I avoided using supplements. However, after graduation as I continued my journey I began to focus more on muscle development through the use of supplements. Reading about and researching the numerous types of supplements that were on the market, and how they helped to develop muscle. I began using whey protein and creatine religiously and was amazed at how quickly my physique changed. However, I noticed some side effects caused by the use of these supplements, so I continued researching and began to focus on ways to obtain a similar physique without the mass use of supplements.
As my fitness journey progressed my mindset continued to change. From the beginning fitness for me had always been about more than just getting as muscular as possible. The main goal for me was always first and foremost about long term health, and so this part of the journey helped bring it all together. I began researching nutrition and realizing how important it was to my goals. I began eating healthier, taking yoga, including stretching before every workout session, and focusing on getting the appropriate amount of sleep. Being consistent in these things helped me reach my ultimate goals.
As a trainer there are two areas that I focus on as a complement to weight or functional training. The first area is stretching. Stretching is essential to help warm up ligaments, and joints before performing strenuous movements. The second area is cardiovascular which is used to help get the blood pumping and warm up the entire body in preparation for the main part of training. This may consist of running, biking, stair climbing, etc., and would be tailored to each client depending on limitations, and ultimate goals. Both of these items are important in helping prevent sprains, strains, or muscle tears.
These important details are what keep my clients in the gym and on schedule to reaching their goals. I look forward to helping you begin, re-start, or continue your fitness journey.

What to Expect
At the beginning of our first meeting we will spend approximately 15 mins discussing your goals and plans, your expectations, as well as nutrition and lifestyle. This information will be used to formulate a detailed plan of attack to get you on the path to success. The remainder of the time will be spent getting you used to my training style while evaluating your strengths and weaknesses. Every session will include stretching, and a cardiovasuclar warm-up as appropriate.
Depending on your goals and current shape the main part of the session may consist of weight or functional training, and a cool down if appropriate. The sessions will be structured but not boring. I don't believe in the old adage that pain is the best measure of a successful workout so movements will be thoroughly explained, demonstrated, and monitored to ensure they are performed correctly every time.
Feel free to get in contact when you are ready to begin, restart, or continue your fitness journey and need help reaching your fitness goals.
