We'll start by talking about goals and how far/close we are to meeting them, then re-evaluate our approach toward said goals and make sure what we're doing is going to get us there.
One of the first people I ever trained wanted to run a half marathon in a year. They had never run before and couldn't run a whole mile without stopping to walk for some of it. We pushed through some bumps along the way but they eventually ran their first half marathon after only six months and we spent the next six months trying to get their times down. It was a lot of fun for both of us and something I'll never forget.
