Hello everyone! My name is Tanya and I am a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and I'm also a corrective exercise specialist. I am currently working towards a certification in sports performance. I really enjoy working with individuals of all walks of life, whether new to fitness or experienced. I grew up playing baseball, basketball and track and field. After graduating high school, I enlisted in the U. S. Navy where I served for 20 years. It was while serving our beautiful country that I began to focus on coaching and exercise. Based on my exceptional scores during the military fitness test, I was hand selected and chosen as the commands fitness leader. I led hundreds of troops in fitness and overall well being for the past 13 years, something that I am truly proud of. I have experience in high intensity interval training, balance, stabilization, weight training, strength and conditioning and cardio. I also specialize in functional programming, metabolic conditioning, weight loss, boot camps, strength conditioning and general fitness.

What to Expect

A typical training session with me would begin with a personally designed warm up, sport specific or general fitness workout and cool down. I always focus on form and movement patterns of my client to ensure they are reaching their max potential.

I've been training my client Ms. V for over a year now. When she first came to me, her goal was to lose 50 pounds. She also wanted to be healthier and become a better version of her already awesome self. Within 3 months she lost 23 pounds and her transformation as yet to stop! Although it took a lot of dedication and motivation, she never gave up and has lost a total of 84 pounds and dropped 6 pant sizes. She is now running a couple 5k a month and is training to run her first marathon this summer!

Tanya is an excellent trainer, she is good at modifying exercises for every workout. She is also very knowledgeable when it comes to ailments and the different parts of the body affected. I have been working out with Tanya for a few months, I look forward to our sessions, she is really fun. She breaks sessions down by exercise types, core, cardio ect and is not afraid to change it around when requested. I would recommend Tanya.

Love! Love!Love her! I've had lots of trainers but she is the best! Been with her since Jan 2016 and meet weekly for Bootcamp! She varies exercises and modifies them and progresses us as we get stronger! She explains them and what they do and checks on your thru the week to check that we are doing our homework! And that we are not having pains/issues! And she's witty and fun!! Highly recommend her!!
