I was a profesional ballerina and still perform as a dancer, actress and choreographer. I have been able to maintain performance-level fitness into my 50's by developing a set of core exercises that build strength and tone the abdominals, glutes, hamstrings and quads. I share these exercises with my clients, who witness remarkable results. My clients have mentioned pain relief, weight reduction, increased strength, improved cardio-vascular condition, increased flexibility, increased balance, improved posture and improved self-image as results of my training. I have a masters degree in education, which enables me to use the best of educational principles in working with diverse clients. I have worked with elite athletes, dancers, and young children and seniors with disabilities. I individualize workouts to suit YOU and your goals. While training is hard work and requires discipline and commitment, I promise to always be there, providing support and encouragement. I always see my clients' potential, even when they do not. I will help you reach you full potential so that your body looks, feels and moves the way you want it to!

What to Expect

The focus of my training is core work. I have a repertoire of exercises for the abdominals, hips, thighs, glutes that tone and define the muscles and build a strong foundation for any and all sports and fitness activities. Once I have ensured that the core muscles are prepared, I can then focus on any area to which the client wants to give extra attention, including arms, legs, shoulders, back, hands and feet.

Susan was a godsend! I am in my mid-50s and allowed myself to get extremely out of shape during COVID. I was searching for a trainer who would help me restart the journey to fitness with compassion and understanding. Having been injured in the past, I also wanted someone who would appreciate my limits and then push me the right amount further. Susan was perfect! Over several sessions, she has helped me rebuild my core strength, taught me daily practices that will help me retain my progress, and provided me with the confidence to reenter society (and attend group fitness classes without fear of hurting myself). Susan's background as a ballet dancer appealed to me greatly. I have some experience with that art form and I respect it greatly. Her workouts with me have focusd on core strength which is exactly what I was looking for. Her gentle manner and encouragement to push myself are a perfect combination. I've had four lessons now and hope to continue with many more in the future. I'm someone who doesn't really like to exercise. But my sessions with Susan are a joy and they inspire me to move more and keep a positive attitude that I will get stronger.
