I started taking martial arts when I was six. I have studied several styles and hold two brown belts. I also played sports throughout school and love being active. I like to run, cycle and rock climb. I am currently working on my black belt in Uechi-ryu karate. I have also been an sous chef and pastry chef, which I use with my nutrition certification to teach others make delicious healthy foods. I also have a degree in psychology.

What to Expect
There's is nothing typical to expect with a training session from me. Everyone is an individual and are treated as such. The more they open up to me and trust me the more fun and the more success they will have. So come positive, motivated, ready to work hard and have fun!

I started working with Steve approximately 3 years ago for 2 specific issues. Due to my weight, I developed Type 2 Diabetes. The 2nd issue was trouble with my knees. Steve developed a plan specific to both of these problems. The program he set up for me was water therapy, strengthening, biking and walking. Focus was on dietary to eat more healthy and lose weight. I had great success and lost 40 pounds. My blood sugars decreased significantly and my knees/thighs became stronger and was able to walk/ride longer distances.
Unfortunately, I got away from the designed course and began putting weight back on. Part of the problem was that we moved and I now have hills that make it hard to bike ride and even walk. I regained about 30 pounds and my blood sugars went back up and of course knee issues got worse. Steve redesigned a program to incorporate hills and even helped me pick out a bike stand to put my bike in so I can ride inside. A lot of focus has been on proper nutrition, incorporating Amway products, increasing water and aerobic and strengthening exercises. I have lost 10 pounds and my sugars have decreased some already.
I highly recommend Steve. He is knowledgeable, patient and will design a program specific to your needs. I'm lad I have him!
I lost close to 20 pounds. He taught me many different ways to work out so it does not become routine or boring. His workouts are designed just for ones self and goals. I can now do exercises I never dreamed possible like something as simple as a push up to dips. In just 3 short weeks he had me ready to walk my first 5k. Come following year in six weeks he had a running clinic and I ran my first 5k and took off over 10 minutes from the year before when I just walked then the following 5k I took off another 2 minutes on my PR. And then I have just this year did my first 8k. Not only is he a great trainer he has helped me eating better and wiser. I can't say thank you enough to him and very blessed to have found him be my guide on my journey. I'm still in early stages. I have highly recommend.
I would work out with Steven for 30 minutes 3 days a week and I really enjoyed every minute of it. He is the best trainer I ever worked with. I saw results immediately.
I was part of an online group/challenge for 4 weeks. Steven was so helpful offering tips for healthy eating, providing encouragement and motivation. He was able to help me improve my form during some exercises I was having trouble with. Shortly after I mentioned my difficulty, he posted a video demonstrating the correct form and some alternative exercises that might have worked better until i built up my strength. Steven's help has been vital in transforming my lifestyle to a healthy one. He was also very prompt in answering food questions as well as posting great information on healthy eating. I would definitely recommend Steven because he is a wealth of knowledge and a great motivator - and it was all over the internet! He took time out of his day for 4 weeks to post helpful tips and videos to help our group reach our health/fitness goals and I'm so thankful!

He is a wonderful trainer. He has helped me train for my triathlon and half marathon. In both events I was able to exceed the goals I had set for myself. Currently, he is helping me rehab after being in a motorcycle accident. He really can help you meet your goals no matter what they are. I highly recommend him!
