I was born and raised in Austin. I left for a while to play in Cincinnati, New York and Los Angeles and am delighted to be back in my hometown doing what I love. I've been a personal trainer for the past 15 years and I like to think I've developed a unique and effective training style. I feel that if you find ways of peppering healthy and fit choices into your day, eat sensibly and move your body often, accomplishing your goals is all the more manageable. I trained and was certified through the National Personal Training Institute in Santa Monica, CA. I've led booty camps, designed children's after-school fitness programs, trained clients in their homes and offices and worked in gyms.

The pace of the session depends on the client and the day. Some days are stressful so we'll box. Some days we'll move slow and steady. And some people need the comfort of knowing exactly what to expect. I like to feel out the energy of my people and take it from there. A session is one hour. It includes a warm up, compound muscle movements core concentration for functional strength (and cardio- depending on the goal), cool down and assisted stretching.
One of my first clients in Los Angeles was a quiet and woman named Sally. She confessed to me in her consultation that she really wanted to be able to do push-ups but was scared of them. She wouldn't even attempt to do one for fear of looking silly and failing. So after a month of consistent training, I asked her to try it again. I had been sneakily preparing her for this moment, targeting all the same muscles groups in other ways. After much debate- she did and started screaming when she realized she could do it. She beamed and came in a little bolder every day after that. We are all scared to fail and scared to succeed, too. But if we don't believe in ourselves, who will? Well, maybe your trainer.
