About Me

Hi there! I am just graduating from school with a master's degree in exercise physiology with an emphasis in strength and conditioning. Basically this is a mouthful of a way to say that I am qualified and experienced in working with anyone from athletes who are looking to improve their performance, to someone who wants to lose some weight before a wedding they have coming up. I am also nationally certified as a strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, which requires me to stay current on all best practices in the field of health, fitness and sports performance. I am open to training just about anyone, and believe that fitness does not have to be about going and getting your butt kicked, and making it so you cannot walk for the rest of the week. I can accomplish the same things without the huge and unnecessary toll on your body that scares a lot of people away. I am not the type to be in your face and yelling at you, unless that's what you want or need. As intelligent human beings, there are better ways to go about achieving your goals than having to go through the grinder every time we meet for a session. I will do my best to explain my thought process and the science behind my reasoning during our sessions together. I hope you will consider my services. I am excited to meet new people and to help them achieve the health related goals that have been eluding them.

What to Expect

Initially there will be some time where we are both trying to figure out each other's expectations. I will be asking a lot of questions and trying to discern your level of seriousness in trying to reach your goals. From there we will progress quickly. From my schooling and experience I know exactly what it will take at different stages to get you where you want to be, that is where the ball ends up in your court. I am going to be honest: I have the easy job. I just use my knowledge to ask you to do certain specific things at certain times, and it all depends on how hard you are willing to work and what other things you are partaking in when you are not training with me.

Client Success Story

I had a client who was to be participating in the Special Olympics, and her mom told me that she was willing to purchase some training because her daughter had expressed an interest in becoming more competitive. She was prone to seizures and some other mental handicaps, but that did not stop us. We trained just as hard as any other clients and saw some amazing results. From my end, there were plenty of things I had to take into consideration for her safety of course, but we did everything we could to make her more competitive at running. She went from being a skin and bones young lady to a toned and coordinated athlete in a matter of about eight weeks. At the start of our training, she was sprinting at a mere 7.5 mph on a treadmill, which is really only slightly faster than speed walking. By the time it was all said and done, I had her performing short interval sprints with ease at about 13 mph. This obviously translated well, because when she returned from her competition, she was ecstatic to tell me she placed Second out of perhaps 20 other girls. I couldn't have been more proud of all her hard work and never give up attitude.
