Hi, my name is Rory aka “The Stone PowerHouse” and I'm a person who believes that the word impossible has no validity! In fact I share my slogan with everyone that I meet, “The Impossible is Possible!” I've had to overcome being a paraplegic from birth weighing 1bl. 13oz. I've had to experience the seemingly insurmountable challenges that doctors stated that I would never see, speak, walk, talk or have the use of the left side of his body. However, this was not in God’s plans and at the age of ten I began walking.
Growing up I saw that people had an interest in how far the human body could be pushed, however that body was never one born with a disability. I then decided to see how far I could push myself, not only mentally, but physically as well. I'm a former four time baseball champion, four time bowling champion and wheelchair track gold medalist. I also wrestled in high school and studied various martial arts including MMA and Brazilian Ju Jitsu.
I have appeared in many media outlets including 6 ABC’s Prospective Delaware, The Delaware News Journal and MuscleProdigy.com. I have also appeared in Muscle and Fitness’s Magazine Tough: Only the Strong Survive Issue in August of 2009 and January 2014.
Today I possesses an associate’s degree in business and compete as a power curler for the World Natural Power Lifting Federation (WNPF). To date I am the only person on record to have power curled from a wheelchair. I have won the Delaware State Championship (December 5th, 2009), National Championship two years in a row (June 26th, 2010, June 4th, 2011) and the World Championship three years in a row (2010, 2011, 2012).
I've held the state, national, and world records in two different weight classes. Also, I am a certified personal trainer and sports nutritionist and am currently in the process of starting a holistic training program for disabled athletes in order to continue to help all athletes and people alike.
In 2015 I decided to actively compete in bodybuilding. My first competition on April 25th I competed in the INBA’s Chicago Illinois State Championship. My first place victory allowed me to go on to the Ricardo Legends Classic on August 22nd 2015. Once again with a first place win I went on to compete in and win the biggest event of the year the 2015 natural Mr. Olympia on November 11th 2015 in Las Vegas Nevada.
I continue to embrace my namesake “The Stone Powerhouse” which is a metaphor for mental and physical strength. I strive every day to show that, “The Impossible is Possible”.

Client Success Story
Rory is an excellent trainer and he knows what’s talking about. He listens to what your needs are that matters because most trainers don’t do that, he asked the right questions about what my eating habits are so he can come up with the correct meal plan that fits me so I can eat what I want and still lose weight at the same time. The different workouts he had me do were very intense and hard but if I ever had a question during or after the workout he would answer the question and give me tips so that the next time I did the work out it would go a lot smoother and be a lot more effective the second time around. I would recommend Rory to all my friends

Over the years I have to come to Rory for assistance, new ideas, or solutions to challenges. He is an outstanding trainer, and an amazing person. I would recommend Rory to anyone looking! He has been exactly the type of guidance I needed in breaking through plateaus, injuries, and making overall measurable progress. Many times I have relied on him, Rory has not only been a good friend of mine, but over the years he has shared with me valuable insight from his extensive experience. Rory’s expertise has not only made him a great trainer, a valuable connection but it makes a real difference in your physique and overall health.

I trained with Rory last year and he really made a difference in my weight loss and healthy living journey. At first I was a little nervous to work out with a new trainer, but Rory was very welcoming and motivational. Although he pushes and challenges you, he provides the support that always makes you feel encourage and never discourage!
He kept workouts interesting; changing it up so that I never got bored doing the same things. When I had questions, whether it was about exercising at home, nutrition or meal prep, he always had answer. On the rare occasions he did not, he would find the answer and get back to me. I appreciate working with someone that is knowledgeable and is dedicated to my journey as much as I am. Rory is a great trainer and I would recommend him to anyone who is serious about their fitness.
