My Mission: To share my passion for living strong, healthy & fit - in body, mind and spirit through fitness instruction, workout groups, friendships and writing. Hi, my name is Meleah. I am a mother of two girls (9 and 5) and have always been passionate about health and fitness. I grew up doing gymnastics and dance and have LOVED to exercise since I can remember. I started running and lifting weights in college, taught cardio kickboxing and tried every other fitness class I could find. Exercise was always my "soulmate." It helps me gather my thoughts, brings me peace, happiness, releases tension and lifts my mood! Losing weight was never my goal in fitness. I just did it because I loved it, loved being outside and competing against myself. Fitness and nutrition was always my hobby and passion. After college however, it seemed more practical and rational to feed my "more structured and academic side" and go to law school and not become a fitness trainer (because who makes a career out of a hobby?). Law school was definitely a life changer. It is exactly what an "analytical thinker" personality thrives on. It made me tough. It taught me what working hard at something really feels like. It made me prepared for curve balls and for problem solving. I worked at the U.S. Attorney's Office throughout law school, graduated on the Law Review and at the top of my class. I practiced for the government in Austin, TX, then from home after having my first little girl. I later co-created a credit consulting firm and continued that business until shortly after our second little girl was born. Meanwhile, my passion for health and fitness was still stirring. Right after our first girl was born in 2003, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's thyroid disease. I struggled to keep my thyroid hormone and energy levels steady. My weight would fluctuate and my workouts would suffer. I was never heavy; but I didn't feel good. My doctor prescribed synthroid and since I'm not a fan of medication, I started searching for ways to improve my condition naturally. During this same time, my father's health began to decline due to his late on-set diabetes and other related health issues. I read every health, exercise and fitness article I came across, began running and exercising more often. I searched and tried new and innovative training methods to stay fit and strong. I read every nutrition article & book related to improved thyroid and endocrine function I could find. The way we feed and train our bodies NOW so greatly impacts our health in the future. My passion for nutrition and health was fired up again enough to turn my hobby into a business of helping people realize their potential for health, strength and wellness. Although I may practice law again one day, I know that nutrition and fitness MUST remain a high priority in my life. Balance is key in all things. I became ACE-certified in Personal Training and Operation Fit to Fight Bootcamp Instruction. I have additional training in sports performance, metabolic resistance training, core conditioning, functional fitness, and group fitness instruction. The fitness friends and family that I have gained through this career change, and lives that I have been blessed to be a part of tell me that my heart was pulled in the right direction.

What to Expect

I always conduct an initial full body composition assessment, nutrition consultation and fitness assessment before we begin. It is imperative to assess our starting point and discuss past injuries, ailments, scheduling, etc as well as physical abilities and nutritional status before we begin. A typical training session will depend on the client's goals, physical abilities and fitness level. Our workouts could range from balance, flexibility and mobility training to functional fitness and bodyweight movements, to weight and resistance training, to sports performance, agility and speed training. It all depends on the client's goals and abilities.

Client Success Story

"Fall of 2014 my desire to be stronger and leaner, lead me to Meleah, my fitness and nutrition coach. She taught me that exercise ( strength training/cardio) along with the right nutrition (whole foods) are the key to weight loss and good health. We meet at Anytime Fitness Gym, for one hour, three days a week. In the beginning I weighed 205 lbs, and I wore size 18W. My weight has gone down to 175 and I now enjoy wearing a size 12. I am half way to my goal weight of 150 pounds. Replacing fat with muscle, I can now keep up with my five grandchildren. The compliments from my friends and family on my transformation are also a bonus." - Cindy Todd

I've been exercising on my own for many years and have taken classes and private training here and there along the way. I can honestly say that, after just 2 1/2 months of working with Meleah, that my fitness goals have been exceeded! Training sessions are fun, achievable and even addicting! Every person I meet through this network is encouraging and I look forward to working out with them. In addition, Meleah's nutrition coaching has helped me reach my goals AND find a balance and peace with food, something I've struggled with since childhood. I highly recommend working with Meleah!

I have been attending Meleah's bootcamp class for almost 3 years now. If you are looking for an instructor who keeps it interesting, challenges you, and has a passion for reaching goals...she's the one! She creates fun workouts so you are never bored. It's something new at each session, so you keep coming back! She also provides a free Saturday class monthly, seasonal challenges, and a fun class atmosphere. I have done every workout possible from running to weight lifting to cardio classes. Her unique approach of variety and intensity has truly given me better results than any workout I have ever tried!
