My passion for fitness surprisingly came about shortly after giving birth to my twins. After three months of being homebound with three kids under the age of three, I decided to join a friend who was already working out at the local YMCA. I quickly realized the amazing benefits of exercising on a regular basis! I believe what kept me going in the beginning was the adult conversation with my friend (which I am sure many moms can relate to). Fortunately when my friend moved away, exercising had become part of my life, so I continued to work out on my own and still love it today! I decided once all of my kids were in school to return to the workforce. I asked myself one simple question: "What do I really have a passion for currently in my life, besides my family?" The answer was right there in front of me: something I do on my own almost every day ... exercise! I then began researching how to become a certified personal trainer so I could share with other women the amazing benefits of fitness.

My belief is that most women lack lean muscle mass, due to a lack of regular strength training. And what most women do not realize, is that with increased lean muscle mass, your metabolism is also increased, meaning you are able to burn more calories during regular activity. Who doesn’t want that?!
