Hi, my name is Jonny! Personal fitness training is more rewarding to me than I can express in a few words. I've been training since 1989 and I'm fortunate to be able to say I've helped many, many people improve their lives, meet, and exceed their fitness goals. I've worked with clients from 11 years old to 90 years young, and while their fitness goals have greatly varied, they all wanted to be stronger and more able than they were before. I'm an Ironman triathlete and more importantly a father and grandfather.
American Counsil on Exercise
Before your first session begins, we will talk about your goals and objectives. We'll assess your movement patterns and address your physical limitations and/or issues within my scope of practice. My training sessions always begin with a dynamic (stretching) warm up, followed by strength, balance, and agility training and ends with static stretching. Exercises and stretches are chosen in accordance with the clients needs, aspirations, and/or sport specificity.
My greatest success, I'm proud to say, has been in helping people realize their capabilities. My most recent would be Jim G. who I met when he was 78, six months after having open heart surgery. He walked in a very cautious shuffle the day I met him. He was afraid of falling, and had movement restrictions. Today, a year and a half later, I would describe him as happy and self assured. And maybe a little cocky. And oh yeah, friend.
