My name is Colin and I'm originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I grew up playing sports and have always excelled in athletics. Growing up with a dad that turned half of our basement into a fully functioning gym, I was immersed into physical culture since a very young age. I started in the weight room at the age of 14 and always found solace spending time with myself in the gym. Once I reached college I was introduced to the worlds of yoga and martial arts and my view of training broadened.
This was also the time in which I was introduced to capoeira. Capoeira is an afro-brazilian martial art that incorporates fighting, music and acrobatics into one. It's gymnastics for the martial artist and requires a serious level of physical discipline. I was hooked on it and began training diligently. I quickly rose in the ranks and before long was teaching the largest capoeira group in all of Southeastern Wisconsin. Teaching capoeira not only helped me develop physically and mentally but expanded my horizons and gave me opportunities to travel the world. I've traveled to Brazil, Chile, Spain, Italy, as well as many parts of the US to train with some of the most respected masters in the capoeira world. In 2015, I received the ranking of Graduado under Mestre Andre Gusmao of Capoeira Nagô.
It was teaching capoeira that then led me to become a trainer. After spending time working with groups of students I realized my love of coaching and soon thereafter started taking clients at a gym. I wanted to set myself apart so I sought out mentorship from the best trainers Milwaukee had to offer and absorbed everything I could. I learned the value of being intentional in movement and training, the importance of understanding proper body mechanics and functional patterns, and found a profession that constantly challenges and inspires me. After 5 wonderful years of training in the Milwaukee area I took 2 months off to travel western Europe with my girlfriend and then moved to Austin to join the Austin fitness community.

Client Success Story
I will let my former client Eydie take over from here...
"Colin has been my personal trainer since April of 2015. I have been delighted with his services in helping me achieve my fitness goals and helping me to evolve to an all around happier healthy person. Colin is knowledgeable about all aspects of fitness training, nutrition, movement and mindfulness. He leverages his talents to partner with you to achieve whatever goals you set out to achieve. I feel challenged but never intimidated by him. I feel the best I've felt in 20 years. I'm stronger and more flexible and I didn't get to this point through a quick hit aggressive program. Rather, I've changed my lifestyle gradually to incorporate more movement and whole foods. If you're interested in improving your health, take a step and try Colin out. You won't be disappointed. Colin differentiates himself from other trainers by establishing an authentic relationship with each of his clients." - Eydie Rogers
