I am a ACE certified Personal Trainer and I also have my degree in health and wellness. I have been training for the past 8 years and have trained a variety of clients that has allowed me to master my training style and give me the opportunity for valuable experience. I also have a background in cross country and track & field which allows me to broaden my horizon when it comes to athletic performance. I provide motivation throughout my sessions through encouragement. I also believe that teaching in training sessions is important because it allows the client learn about their body and how to be successful when I am not present.
American Counsil on Exercise
I hold clients accountable to reach goals for being healthier. This shows the clients the teacher aspect of training and provides encouragement throughout sessions.
I recently had a client that I picked up from a previous trainer who was no longer with the company. He was hesitant because he loved his previous trainer and enjoyed the workouts she provided for him. I was a bit nervous as well, but was up front with him and told him, "Let's have a session and see how you like it. I know you miss your old trainer, but just because this is new doesn't mean it's a bad thing." After that first session, the relationship clicked and we both knew then that we were going to grow from this experience. Since that first session to our last, I was able to provide the client with new exercises that pushed him for better results and he allowed me to expand my training methods.
