My name is Ava. I am a Dallas native and have been training for 5 years. I was in healthcare for three years before I began to lose weight (40 lbs) and discover my passion in fitness. I went on to earn my masters degree in exercise science in 2014 and was a trainer at Equinox, a top fitness club, for two years. My athletic background includes volleyball, soccer, track, cheerleading, rugby in college and weightlifting and sprinting after college. My specialties include sports performance, barbell and kettlebell training, running and sprinting coaching, bodyweight training and corrective exercise.

Clients can expect to be properly warmed up and prepped for their training session according to the phase of training that they are in. Sessions will end with stretching and tissue release if necessary. Clients can also expect to be held accountable to their lifestyle choices outside of their sessions as these habits will directly impact their level of success.
My greatest success story was with a client named Steve. He was in his late 50's and could barely move when we first met. By the eighth month of training, Steve could touch his toes, his posture had improved and he was walking more confidently. I also noticed an increase in his energy levels, he seemed younger. He also did not experience the same degrees of pain in his achilles tendons and shoulder that he did when we first began training. Steve had lost a significant of fat and gained muscle which resulted in him becoming a stronger runner. It was rewarding to be a part of Steve's transformation. This is why I train. :)
