My fitness journey began when I was a Med Technologist in the Blood Bank. While testing and prepping blood to save OR patients, I had a thought: what if I could help prevent illness through healthy habits? After a decade in Blood Banking, I chose a career in health and fitness. Nine years and over 10 certifications later, I have learned that healthy living starts with a focused mindset, leads to good eating habits and is maintained by regular exercise. The hundreds of clients I have helped over the years have seen lasting changes to their life, including: better sleep, improved joint mobility, increased strength, weight loss, sustained healthy eating habits, increased flexibility and improved energy. Strength and conditioning, bilateral training (both sides), unilateral training (one side, then the other), cardio, flexibility, balance and recovery.
One of my clients was trying to stand up on her own from the floor. We spent lots of time on the elliptical with added elevation and resistance. I also implemented a strength program rich in assisted squats, assisted lunges, leg extensions with ankle weights, and back strengthening exercises. After three months, she could stand up without assistance. Now, we've started doing modified mountain climbers! I thoroughly enjoy making circuit training plans for my athletic clients. One of my clients loves to come in and get a new workout every week. The more challenging the workout is, the happier he is.

Ashley is excellent at understanding injuries and working around them. I had concerns due to previous trainers that pushed me through pain and that only made the injuries worse. Working out with Ashley has help me begin to regain strength without re-injuring myself.
